Yay it’s Friday! I’m so glad this weekend has begun… here’s my Five for Friday:
1. We wrote Valentine cards to our pen pals from the amazing Tamra and Sarah’s (First Grade Buddies) classrooms. My little friends loved making these fun cards!
2. Valentine’s Day was the theme all week long with our literacy centers! We worked on sight words, vowels vs consonants, short/long vowels and digraphs. Hearts just make everything so much sweeter! 🙂 {Check out these packs here: Sight Word Pack and Literacy Centers.}
3. Since we have Monday off to celebrate President’s Day, my little friends also got a little word family sorting practice in with the presidents. {Check out this pack here!}
4. I was so excited to buy this book at our Scholastic school book fair! I’ll be doing a lesson with it next week with my little friends. I loved using What If You Had Animal Teeth? last year and know this new one will be a big hit in our classroom too!
5. One last thing for everyone today: Happy Valentine’s Day!
Thanks for hosting this fun, Friday linky, Doodlebugs Teaching!
Have a great weekend!
